I click on the Bob Marley channel, and a Backstreet Boys song comes on...Quite satisfactorily, I click on the 'thumbs down' button to tell Pandora not to play this crap anymore. The next song is...MORE FUCKING BACKSTREET BOYS!!! Since when is Backstreet Boys considered Reggae?!
Finally it gets on with the reggae, and much to my bitter amusement, Christina Aguilera comes on a few songs later...
Pandora is all about "A new kind of radio - stations that play only songs you like" They should have added "But we won't listen to your preferences and play whatever the hell we want anyway". At least it would have been an honest statement.
Pandora used to be cool. USED to be.
Now they have just fallen in with the rest of the money hungry wolves eager to sell sell sell. You used to be able to listen as much as you want, whenever you want (and they actually got the genres right!). Now, you actually have to plan on when you want to listen, and time it according to how many hours are left on your account, all in the hopes you don't run out.
40 hours is crap. That's a few days...if that...to us musical people.
